March 21, 2012 Gertens will have its annual Education and Spring Buying Fair at the Veterans Memorial Community Center.

Week 6: Sticking urcs: 55,000 urcs for 4.75" pots including New Guinea Impatiens, Verbena, Calibrachoa, Osteospermum, Torenia, Ipomoea and more, sowing over 22,000 Impatiens seed to produce 2,100 hanging baskets. We will be planting 3,000 plus calibrachoa hanging baskets. 7,000 plus Rieger Begonia Hanging Baskets and 700 Rieger Begonia tubs. Bacopa and Torenia Hanging Baskets (about 1000 total). About 5,000 liners to produce Pansy bowls 7,000 plus, Pansy pots 12,000 plus (late week 6 or early week 7). About 140,000 plugs to produce. And 2000 Rex Begonias (these are the foliage Begonias with silver, pink, red, bronze foliage - spotted and patterned).

We have our products on display so it’s easy to shop and even bring your clients in to help get the perfect product for the job.
